Family Health Resources
Enrolling in insurance programs, like Medicaid, Medicare, Disability or private insurance, helps pay for medical bills and increases the flow of resources to expand Southcentral Foundation services, benefiting the entire Native Community.
With Southcentral Foundation's (SCF) balanced commitment between high-quality services, family wellness and shared responsibility, the organization depends on more than just Indian Health Service (IHS) funding. To fully succeed in its mission, it depends on an active partnership between employees and customer-owners. Roughly 50% of all services would not exist if SCF relied on IHS funding alone.
Every time a customer provides his/her insurance information to the hospital or clinic, additional funding for Alaska Native health services is brought into the system at no cost to the customer.
Southcentral Foundation's Family Health Resource (FHR) Representatives offer friendly customer service and can assist in the entire enrollment and renewal process. FHR representatives are located in the Primary Care, Pediatrics and OB/GYN clinics. Representatives are also in ANMC's Central Registration and at the Valley Native Primary Care Center. One visit to an FHR representative is all it takes to get started.
