Public Relations
The purpose of Southcentral Foundation's (SCF) Public Relations (PR) Department is to address the importance of communications in achieving SCF's Vision, Mission and Key Points.
The opportunity for trust to develop is possible when communication is preceded, accompanied and followed by appropriate actions and credibility based on openness/accessibility, truthfulness, responsiveness, transparency and engagement.
The PR Department:
- Is committed to effective communication with internal and external customers (i.e. staff, administration, customers, etc.), as well as with our defined community partners and other local, regional, national and international stakeholders.
- Responds to media inquiries and is responsible for distribution to the media about SCF's personnel, programs, services and policies.
- Coordinates interaction with the media for the purpose of providing factual information, and protecting customer privacy and confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines.
- Serves as the contact point and coordinator of all official visits and/or tours of SCF's facilities, including, but not limited to, those by the media, dignitaries and tribal members.
- Provides consultation and editorial technical assistance services to program staff, which may include interaction with external organizations.
