Radiology Department
The Radiology Department at Southcentral Foundation is located at the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center. The department offers the following services:
- General X-ray
- Ultrasound imaging (primarily obstetric)
- Mammography (screening)
- Dexascan (bone density scan)
For general x-rays, Radiology has state-of-the-art equipment that allows for digital imaging. The technologist can electronically send the image instantly to the provider.
The Dexascan is performed with a new, state-of-the-art machine and is the only service of its kind on the Alaska Native Health Campus. It provides valuable information to providers regarding the skeletal health of their customers, especially as they grow older.
